FORMER LEADER OF THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS AND DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER

Sir Nick Clegg is the former Deputy Prime Minister in Britain. Clegg was a key member in Britain’s first post-war coalition between 2010 and 2015. He was the former leader of the Liberal Democrat party for eight years and represented Sheffield Hallam as their Member of Parliament prior to the 2017 General Election.

Initially, Clegg spent a lot of his early career within written publications, he would write and publish a number of books around an array of different subjects such as the European Union and the education system.. With an abundance of knowledge and a habit of inspiring people, Clegg became a Member of the European Parliament in 1999. He was the lead Liberal Democrat for the East Midlands constituency and stayed within the role until 2004. He became a Member of Parliament in 2005 when he won a seat with over 50% of the votes. Clegg occupied the second highest office in the country just two years after the United Kingdom was recovering from a deep recession. This meant there were huge crises and concern within the country and people were vulnerable and needed to see a huge change of positive impact on the countries economy. Clegg was regarded as a well-respected Deputy Prime Minister and inspired thousands across the country.
