Matthew Holmes officially joined the exclusive team at Champions Speakers as a top After Dinner Sales Executive in January 2019. Prior to this, he held expert roles as a Junior Buyer for the NHS and Operations Manager for BlindBudda. Since joining Champions Speakers, Matthew has expertly arranged speakers for high-profile clients such as Vodafone, Canon UK, Airbnb, BT Plc, Qatar Airways and many more. Before his tenure at Champions, Matthew played youth football for the best teams, including Manchester United, Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale, which he confesses led to his fiercely competitive nature. Currently, he plays high-level cricket during the summer months in the top North Staffordshire and South Cheshire cricket leagues.

Matthew's favourite speakers in his specialist areas include top experts like Martin Glenn, known for his official insights into football management, Rio Ferdinand, a former footballer with exclusive knowledge of the sport, Laura Winter, an expert in sports journalism, Carey Lohrenz, the first female F-14 Tomcat pilot excelling in peak performance, Clive Woodward, a rugby coach specialising in teamwork, and Jessica Ennis Hill, an Olympic champion renowned for her expertise in sports and peak performance.

A serial competition winner at Champions Speakers HQ, Matthew won the best fancy dress contest with a dynamic Marilyn Monroe tribute. He went on to share the top prize in the Christmas jumper contest and took home the runner-up prize for Most Motivated at the staff awards. Matthew has helped raise over £90,000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young, providing young adults the exclusive chance to be screened. He enjoys expert spinning classes and summer holidays, but don’t let a seagull come at him – he doesn't see eye to eye with them.
