Matthew Holmes
Matthew joined the team at Champions Speakers as an After Dinner Sales Executive in January 2019 after working as a Junior Buyer for the NHS and Operations Manager for BlindBudda. Since joining the team, Matthew has arranged speakers for the likes of Vodafone, Canon UK, Airbnb, BT Plc, Qatar Airways and many more clients.
Prior to working at Champions, Matthew played youth football for Manchester United, Crewe Alexandra and Port Vale - which he confesses led to him being fiercely competitive. Matthew currently plays high-level cricket during the summer months in the North Staffordshire, South Cheshire cricket league.
A serial competition winner here at Champions HQ, Matthew won the fancy dress with a dynamic Marylyn Monroe tribute. He went on to share the top prize in the Christmas jumper contest before taking home the runner up prize for the Most Motivated at the staff awards.
Matthew has helped raise over £90,000 for Cardiac Risk in the Young, giving young adults the chance to be screened. He enjoys spinning classes, as well as summer holidays but don't let a seagull come at him - he doesn't see eye to eye with them.
