A graduate from the prestigious University of Oxford, Martin launched straight into the role of Brand Manager for the internationally renowned Mars Petcare. Responsible for the UK and Germany branches, Martin spent nearly five years developing their marketing, and maintaining their European reputation. Having established himself as an innovative strategist, Martin spent the next 14 years of his career as the Marketing Manager, Director and CEO of Walkers Snack Foods. Taking the well loved brand in a new, yet recognisable direction saw Martin introduce the iconic Gary Lineker campaign, which remains synonymous with the brand today.
Most recently, Martin has transferred his talents to the sports sector, being named CEO of The Football Association in 2015, Martin fronted the governing body until 2019, when he was announced as the Chairperson of the Football Foundation. Having invested heavily in grassroots football as the FA leader, Martin is continuing his ambitions for the football community in his current role. Backed by decades of business experience, in both sports and CPG, Martin’s keynote talks cover valuable corporate topics like leadership, branding and marketing.
