From humble beginnings, Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, will go down in history as one of the technologies biggest influencers.

Sundar started his exploration of technology at the Indian Institute of Technology, in Kharagpur. Impressed with his knowledge and passion, Stanford University offered him a scholarship to move to the USA, where he graduated with a Masters in Material Science and Engineering. From there, he was accepted into the top business school in the United States, Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2004, after gaining an impressive career and education, Sundar was hired by Google as a Product Manager. Largely heralded as being responsible for Google Drive and Google Chrome, he oversaw the development of both Gmail and Google Maps. In 2011, Sundar made the public debut of Chromebook, a product that changed the landscape of technology forever. Only 2 years later, Sundar became the leader of Android’s Operating System, proving that his technological advancements knew no bounds.

In 2015, Sundar Pichai was announced as the next CEO of the technology mogul, Google. Showing no sign of slowing down, he also runs all of Google’s internal products, including Youtube, Google Play and its Google ads.

Sundar was a speaker at the World Internet Conference in China, in 2017. During his speech, he reinforced the relationship Google has with small and medium-sized businesses in China. In the same year, he went back to the Indian Institute of Technology to give a speech to the young people studying there, Sundar shared his inspirational story of hard work and dedication, inspiring the thinkers of tomorrow.
