Malcolm Gregson

British Golf Speaker

British golf speaker Malcolm Gregson joined the professional circuit back in 1961, where he toured across Europe and played against a number of notable golfers and sports speakers. Making a name for himself as both an impressive golfer and prolific sports speaker long before the advent of the PGA and European Tour in 1972, Gregson remains a popular after dinner speaker and successful golfer to this day.

Hitting his prime in the 1980’s Malcolm Gregson won a number of high profile trophies during his career including those that, since the development of the European Tour, have fallen out of recognition. Trophies such as The Harry Vorden Trophy. Which he was awarded as the leader of the Order of Merit, and The Gor-Ray Cup adorned his mantle long before many of his golfing contemporaries and fellow golf speakers had even picked up a club.

Demonstrating his skill Malcolm Gregson made the top 100 in the Order of Merit for the first nine years of the European Tour, but went on to leave the series in 1982 to graduate on to his seniors career. Though Malcolm continues to play in seniors tournaments the majority of his time is now dedicated to working as an after dinner speaker at various golf speaker events.

Alongside his work as a golf speaker Malcolm regularly takes part in charity tours raising money for a number of worthy causes. In his capacity as a golf speaker, Malcolm not only discusses his work as a golfer but also highlights the importance of sporting charities.
