Denmark’s most successful golfer, Thomas Bjørn is a force on the course. With ninety-four top ten finishes, on the European Tour, including ten wins, Thomas Bjørn has become the most successful Danish golfer of all time. From his European Tour debut in 1996, Bjørn has continually proved himself as a talent player, who has accumulated no less than two Japanese Golf Tour wins, one Sunshine Tour win and eight top ten results in major championships. A skilled all rounder, Bjørn has a clean swing and a competitive spirit, both of which have helped to propel him to compete on the most prestigious golf courses in the world. As a youngster, Thomas Bjørn was destined for professional golf. His earliest memories of playing the game were as a six year old, practicing in his garden and shadowing his father on the course. Having spent his childhood enamored with the sport, Bjørn worked his way to professional status, making his debut in 1993. For the first two years he honed his craft and gained a reputation as a serious competitor on the Challenge Tour. In 1995 he won four tournaments on the Challenge Tour, including the Coca-Cola Open and the Himmerland Open.

Equally as impressive in a team, as he is individually, Bjørn has garnered much praise for his leadership and teamwork abilities in the World Cup and Ryder Cup. Making his first appearance for the European Ryder Cup team in 1997, Bjørn enjoyed a win in his debut competition and was the first Dane to qualify for the European team. Bjørn’s success continued with further wins in 2002 and 2014, and he was announced as captain for the Ryder Cup in 2018, where he led the team to victory again. As a representative of his home country, Bjørn played in five World Cups.
