Simon Dyson

Simon Dyson is a British professional golfer and golf coach who has had great success in his two decades of playing. Consistently bringing a skilled and precise performance under pressure has lead to the impressive trophy cabinet he holds today and has to lead him to be a top choice as a sports speaker.

Reaching the highest success in both the Asian Tour and the European Tour, Dyson is well known for his strong swing. As a former European Top 10 Golfer, Dyson has achieved a total of six wins on the European Tour, including winning the KLM Dutch Open on three occasions. His personal career highlight came in 2009 on the final day at St Andrew’s when he was victorious in gaining the top spot for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and consequently gained his highest pay cheque of £540,000 for the competition.

Beginning his professional career in 1999 was an exciting transition for Simon Dyson, following a successful amateur career where he came first in the Finnish Amature Championship. Within his debut year, Dyson achieved a total of three tournament wins on the Asain Tour and was awarded the Order of Merit, in addition to Rookie of the Year. Moving on to the European Tour in 2006, he won the European Tour title at the Jakarta Indonesia Open, which helped to launch him into the Top 100 Golfers Official Ranking. The most successful years of his career were played in the European Tour, which he won six times, as well as being ranked 10th on the Race to Dubai Ranking.

Unfortunately, a wrist injury and subsequent surgery in 2015 forced Dyson into an early retirement as he never regained the strength. Since officially announcing his retirement in 2019, he has been focusing on teaching and leading the next generation of aspiring golfers, with his coaching academy. Furthermore, he has become a popular choice as an event speaker, attending private and corporate occasions across the country.
