Professional English golfer, Andy Sullivan, is a regular face on the European Tour. With three wins since turning professional in 2011, the Nuneaton born sportsman is a formidable force on the course. Andy is also a popular after-dinner speaker, who frequently discusses his rise to the top and his methods of maximising success.
As an amateur player, Andy was a promising golfer from a young age. During his early career, he won the Tailhade Cup in Argentina in 2010 and, impressively, won the 2011 Scottish Amateur Open Stroke Play. The latter achievement firmly positioned Andy as a player with heaps of potential, due to the challenging nature of the championship.
Just prior to turning professional, Andy took part in the Walker Cup, where he represented Great Britain and Ireland. In his presentations, Andy reflects upon this time in his life and discusses how he cultivated success from such a young age, by covering topics in determination and resilience.
In the following year, 2012, Andy earned his place on the 2013 European Tour by qualifying from Q School. Over the next two years, Andy rose through the ranks - at the Race to Dubai in 2012 he finished 145th, at the Race to Dubai in 2013 he finished 98th and in the 2014 Race to Dubai he finished 33rd. Andy cultivated this ability to steadily improve by honing his golfing ability. In his speeches, he follows this journey to success along with the audience, offering invaluable tips on how to achieve peak performance.
After a successful 2014 tour, which included five top-10 placements, Andy achieved a hole in one at the KLM Open. In celebration of such an achievement, he earned a flight into space as a reward! Andy went from strength to strength, winning his first European Tour in 2015 at the South African Open. He went on to triumph in the Joburg Open and the Portugal Masters. In 2015, Andy earned the title of the first man to win three victories on the European Tour.
As a sports speaker, Andy is a rare find. The talented golfer is as equally knowledgable as he is entertaining, enthralling the audience with his stories from top-level competing. Playing at an elite level brings with it a range of pressures, so Andy candidly offers tried and tested strategies to staying calm under pressure.
