Expert golf speaker and former Executive Director of the European Tour Kevin Schofield was previously one of the most important people in European golf. Though not taking part in a playing capacity Schofield frequently appears at golf days and sporting after dinner speaker events and has worked closely with some of the biggest names in the sport.

Originally working as a banker the Scottish born Schofield became a golf speaker in 1975 when he was made the Executive Director of the European Tour. Ken Schofield held this position for almost thirty years, eventually retiring to become a dedicated sports speaker.

With an in depth knowledge of golf governance and procedure Ken Schofield is unlike many traditional sports speaker, his experience of and influence over the golf industry is unrivalled and the stories he shares about behind the scenes of some of golf’s biggest tournaments are hugely entertaining.

During his tenure as the golf speaker and Executive Director of the European Tour Ken Schofield helped the tour expand from 17 to more than 40 games, his most notable achievements including the creation of both the Challenge Tour and the European Senior’s Tour. Leaving his post as Executive Director in 2004 Ken Schofield has worked as an after dinner speaker for a variety of golfing events, he is an Ambassador for the PGA and in 2006 was inducted into World Golf Hall of Fame.
