An instantly recognisable name within the music and television industry, Sinitta is best known for her 1980s hit single So Macho and as the close friend of Simon Cowell who annually appears on the ITV reality singing competition, The X Factor. Combining her incredibly fun personality with her catchy disco-style music is bound to have everyone up and dancing at your next corporate event or function. Although Sinitta made her acting debut on the film Shock Treatment, she performed mainly in West End productions including Andrew Lloyd Webber’s debut musical Cats and the Little Shop of Horrors. In 1986, she released So Macho in which would later become her all-time best selling single.
The single peaked at number three of the UK Singles Chart before spending a total of six weeks in the top 20 and reaching similar status internationally. She released her debut album, Sinitta! In 1987. Throughout her career, Sinitta’s music has become a global success. With 14 international hit singles and three international hit albums. As Simon Cowell’s first recording artist for his record label Syco Music, Sinitta has developed a very close relationship with him and often appears alongside him The X Factor as a mentor. Most notably, she advised Cowell to invest his time into One Direction who are now arguably the largest successes to come from the reality singing competition.
She has also joined the panellists on Loose Women, participated in the eleventh series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and starred in Channel 4’s The Jump. Most recently, Sinitta has made a comeback to her music career with her 2014 single So Many Men, So Little Time. She is now one of the main presenters on The X Factor spin-off show, The Xtra Factor and has made appearances on high-profile primetime television shows including Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and Celebrity Masterchef. An in-demand media personality, solo artist and now a corporate entertainer, Sinitta can bring a bundle of positivity and joy to any event or function.
