While working as a waitress next door to an open mic venue, Katherine first heard the call of audience laughter. Following her shifts at Hooters, she would walk next door, still in her uniform, and take to the stage. Katherine's early career was the definition of "thrown in at the deep end". From humble beginnings, she honed her comedic style. Her first television appearance was on Video on Trial, a Canadian music video review show. From 2005 to 2008, she built a hoard of loyal fans, all eager to witness her next show. A natural talent, she even won the 2008 Nivea Funny Women Award for her work.

Katherine joined the 8 Out of 10 Cats cast in 2012. She quickly became a well-loved feature on the show.
