Stavros Flatley

One of the most instantly recognisable Britain’s Got Talent acts of all time, Stavros Flatley are a father-and-son act known for their highly energetic and captivating river dancing served with a Greek twist. Demetrios and Lagi Andreas make up the British-Greek Cypriot dance duo which received standing ovations week after week on the UK’s favourite variety talent show and have since performed internationally.

Stavros Flatley began when Demetrios opened his Greek restaurant. Although they were not known for the success of their menu, the entertainment provided enticed customers to return to witness what would eventually become Stavros Flatley. The pair took their act to Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, and with their humour combined with incredible choreography, they created arguably the most entertaining audition presented on the show.

Dubbed Simon Cowell’s “favourite ever dance act", they finished in fourth place behind the likes of Diversity and Susan Boyle. Their dances to Lord of The Dance, Zorba The Greek and Cry of The Celts became so popular that Stavros Flatley became a household name across the nation. Since their stint on ITV, the duo have travelled internationally to spread the joy of their act. Having danced in China, Australia, France and the Netherlands, the gentlemen have received global acclaim and continue to make appearances at events including Glastonbury, The Royal Variety Show and Lovebox 2010.

Most recently, Stavros Flatley have dived into the media world. They have featured on Big Brother, The One Show, GMTV and Chatty Man as well as offering their support to charities including Walking With Giants and Fight For Life. They recently proved their status as BGT legends when they were invited to return to the stage of Britain's Got Talent as part of their new series Britains Got Talent: The Champions. The comedy duo battled against some of the world's most notable contestants from the ‘Got Talent’ series including Twist & Pulse and Ashleigh and Sully before finishing in the impressive position of second.
