Megan Lupton joined Champions Speakers in 2019, working on exclusive creative content for Champions Speakers as a Digital Copywriter. In 2020, she progressed to Content Executive, before being promoted to Senior Content Executive, where she now spearheads the Champions Speakers YouTube Channel - having already secured a 300% increase in YouTube views for Champions Speakers. Currently, Megan is studying for a creative practice PhD at De Montfort University, which she began in October 2021. She previously earned her Bachelor of Arts in Film & Creative Writing at the University of Essex and her Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Teesside University. Megan's current doctoral research investigates the ethical dilemma of true crime content and examines the genre-defining conventions. As a testament to her talent as a writer, a short story written by Megan was recently published in the DMU Special Collections Anthology, titled Tulips for Dorothy.
In her role at Champions Speakers, Megan has interviewed countless authoritative names, including Dr Alex George and Sir Mo Farah. She is particularly passionate about LGBTQ+ pride and female empowerment, digital media and journalism – topics Megan enjoys writing about at Champions. Megan is also a fervent advocate for diverse voices across various domains, strongly focusing on female motivation and inspiration, LGBT+ issues and LGBT+ awareness events, such as LGBT+ History Month. She delves into these topics with a keen journalistic perspective, consistently pushing the envelope in media and innovation.
Her passions as a journalist are further emphasised in her roles outside of Champions Speakers, having become the Co-Founder and Director of the Leicester Gazette in 2022. Currently sharing her expertise as the Communications Lead of The Great Central Gazette, Megan ensures that journalistic content has a great impact in Leicester and beyond. She has also completed voluntary work as the Publicity Officer of Rooting for Ratby, Social Media Manager of Ratby Library, a Book Reviewer for Reedsy and a Reading Tutor for Right to Read. Her talents and commitments have already been recognised with countless awards, including being a finalist for the Outstanding Women in Art, Media & Music in the East Midlands at the 2023 Women's Awards. She also claimed 1st place in the DMU Faculty-Level 3MT Competition and claimed the Best Level of Contribution Award from Champions Speakers in 2019! She is also featured on Crunchbase and in publications by De Montford University.

Additionally, Jonathan Lovitz, Jo Salter MBE, David Rowan, Dave Coplin and Dan Cobley are pivotal influences in her professional ethos, guiding her in advocating for inclusivity and pioneering innovative ideas in her work.
