Jean Tomlin

Business management speaker and consultant Jean Tomlin is an expert in HR and people management, she has designed and implemented organisational systems for some of the biggest companies and most important events in recent UK history. Known primarily for her work as the Director of HR, Workforce and Accreditation for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics Jean Tomlin OBE was responsible for the biggest peacetime workforce in British history, employing approximately 200,000 people. In her capacity as business speaker and advisor for the Olympic Committee Tomlin presided over the world acclaimed team of 70,000 Game Makers.

Before working as the HR and business management speaker for the Olympic Committee Jean acted as the Group HR Director for Marks & Spencer’s plc and the Sales and Operations Director of Prudential Direct. Thanks to her vast experience and expertise Jean Tomlin OBE is frequently called upon to appear as a business management speaker at corporate conferences and after dinner speaker events. Her knowledge and advice spans every aspect of HR and personnel management including accreditation, unifying, retention, industrial relations, diversity and inclusion and workforce engagement.

Her consultancy and business speaker presentations draw on her experience in the management and organisation of some of the UK’s largest and most profitable workforces. Jean has been called upon to act as an after dinner speaker, consultant, advisor and board member for companies such as the BBC and J Sainsbury’s plc, and she has been praised for being both thorough and insightful. Jean Tomlin OBE has also worked for a number of public sector entities including acting as Commissioner for Judicial Appointments and Chair of the Remuneration Committee to the former Greenwich Healthcare Trust and as a member of the National Curriculum Advisory Board, for which she was awarded an OBE.
