From the beginning of his career as a dishwasher, he rose through the industry to become the recipient of the UK Manager of the Year 2009. Peter began his managerial career in 1999 when he joined Equals Restaurant and Bar as Deputy Restaurant Manager. Following this, he spent over 15 years at the Virgin Group, where he worked closely with Sir Richard Branson on prestigious projects, including serving as General Manager of the Babylon Restaurant at The Roof Gardens in London until its closure in 2018. Additionally, he played a vital role in the launch of Virgin Limited Hotels, including the Mont Rochelle Hotel and Restaurant in South Africa.
In 2021, Peter joined the Institute of Hospitality, where he serves as Vice Chairman. Currently, he serves as Business Development Manager at Hilton, where he continues using his expertise to develop the business through his dedication. In 2023, he was awarded Hilton’s CEO Light and Warmth Award in recognition of his impeccable services to the hospitality sector. In addition to his management roles, Peter has served on various advisory boards to share his expertise.
Throughout his flourishing career, he has featured in numerous magazines and press articles such as Big Hospitality, GS Magazine and The Caterer. In 2015, he published his own article in the GS Magazine, giving knowledge on how to manage a great team. Peter has developed a crucial understanding of the importance of training, communication and consistency to continue his pursuit of exceptional quality throughout hospitality.
