Fred Sirieix

Television personality and customer service expert, Fred Sirieix, found fame on the hit show, First Dates. The suave French maître d'hôtel, or Head Waiter, spent a large portion of his career working in Michelin-starred restaurants, providing only the highest quality service. Armed with decades of experience, he now splits his time between television appearances and managing Galvin at Windows, an award-winning restaurant in London. Fred is passionate about improving the standard of future serving staff and has set up a training game named the Art of Service for prospective servers.

As a television personality, Fred found fame on Channel 4's First Dates, as the maître d'hôtel. The show helps hopeless romantics find love in a blind date style set-up, but it is Fred's irresistible charm and delightful personality that made the show a fan favourite. Fred was brought up by parents who worked in healthcare. One of Fred's first experiences of serving, after attending a catering college, was at London's La Tante Claire. He started working as a Chef de Rang, who is second in command to the Head Waiter. This led to him working at a range of other prestigious restaurants, including Le Gavroche, Sartoria and Brasserie Roux. With years of experience on the fast-paced front line of the restaurant industry, Fred has excelled as the General Manager of Galvin at Windows.

Celebrated for his work, Fred has been awarded the 2013 Cateys Manager of the Year Award, the 2011 National Restaurant Awards' Personality of the Year, the 2012 Educator of the Year Award and an honorary degree from the University of West London.
