Merrill Osmond is the lead singer for the world famous family music act, The Osmonds. Also an established solo artist, Merrill has toured the world and played in some of the biggest venues in the UK, US and Europe. As part of one of the most successful music acts of the last fifty years Merrill was lead singer on a total of 27 gold records, he has contributed to a further five number ones and, with his brother’s by his side, gained the record for most gold records achieved in a single year. Merrill remains incredibly popular as a solo artist, his renditions of Osmond’s hits such as One Bad Apple, Let Me In and Love Me for a Reason still carry the same weight, charisma and beauty as when they were originally released; whilst he also performs other songs of his own development in his capacity as a solo artist.
Outside his work as a solo artist Merrill worked as the Executive Producer of the Donny & Marie Show that aired on ABC-TV and worked closely with the production of President Ronald Reagans Inauguration; later, in 1989, Merrill was invited to produce the Inaugural Ball for President George H. Bush. In the same year Merrill co-founded and assisted in creating the Children’s Miracle Network that has since raised more than $4 billion for children’s hospitals around the world. His charity work does not end there however, he is proud to be the Patron of the Hearing Fund UK, a charity founded by his son, Justin, who help people living with hearing loss and help raise deaf awareness globally. Either with his brothers or as a solo artist, Merrill Osmond is a hugely talented artist, his writing abilities are rivalled by few thanks to his mind and imagination that have brought us some of the biggest pop hits ever. Despite his age Merrill’s talent has not waned and as a solo artist he remains a popular choice for events, theatre shows and corporate functions.
