Denise Welch landed her dream job as an actress straight out of high school and has been lighting up the screen ever since. The popular television personality bagged her first TV appearance in the Tyne Tees Television production Barriers in 1981 and then went on to appear in a lengthy list of TV favourites, launching her as a household name. There is no denying Welch is an extremely talented and versatile Actress, but with many strings to her extensive bow, Welch has also enjoyed a successful career as a much loved TV presenter. Having been privileged to present on numerous television programmes, as well as hosting her own DIY series The Real DIY Show and Soap Fever for ITV2. Although the lively TV presenter is more widely renowned and notorious for her ‘no nonsense’ approach as a regular loose women panellist.
In addition to her work as an actress and TV presenter, Welch has appeared as a contestant on a vast number of popular reality shows with the sole purpose of raising money for a charity close to her heart, Children North East based in the TV stars hometown Newcastle. Welch’s guest reality appearances include; Stars In Their Eyes, Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Dancing on Ice, Stepping Out, All-Star Mr and Mrs and Celebrity Big Brother, which Welch walked away from as the ninth celebrity to be crowned the winner of CBB.
