Alex Polizzi

Television presenter and business management speaker Alex Polizzi comes from a long line of hoteliers: her mother, the hotel designer Countess Olga Polizzi CBE, is the sister of Sir Rocco Forte, and daughter of Lord Forte, her role as the host and business speaker on the popular series The Hotel Inspector adding to her family’s prestigious lineage. Originally reading English at Oxford University Alex Polizzi trained at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong before turning her attention to the family’s business. Polizzi began her work as an hotelier and business management speaker working with Marco Pierre White at the Criterion before moving on to various Rocco Forte Hotels around the world. Alex Polizzi went on to work alongside her mother Olga, who trained specifically with hotels not related to her family, and together they launched Hotel Tresanton at St. Mawes in Cornwall.

From here, Alex Polizzi and her mother went on to work as business management speakers and hotel experts around the UK, eventually taking over the established hotel chain Endsleigh. Having established herself as an expert hotelier, Alex Polizzi turned her skills to television and began working as the business speaker and host for the highly acclaimed Channel 5 show, The Hotel Inspector in 2008. Continuing to work on the show, Polizzi has also worked as an after dinner speaker at live events, offering her hotel and brand management expertise as a business speaker at corporate events around the world. Thanks to the popularity of both her work on the Hotel Inspector and her role as an after dinner speaker Polizzi has been called upon to act as the TV presenter for a number of other hotel, tourism and restaurant related television series including BBC 2’s The Fixer and another Channel 5 series Alex Polizzi’s Secret Italy.
