Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen


Laurence’s personal charisma and ability to inspire people to express themselves have established him as the UK’s favourite, most easily identified interior designer. His recent credits include House Gift which is currently being shown on ITV1, series 2 of House of the Year for BBC Northern Ireland which has just aired on Monday nights and ‘Hidden Houses of Wales’ on BBC2, which he is currently filming. Laurence has also just filmed a new series for ITV1 called ‘Auction Party’ which will transmit later this year.

Laurence is a key member of the team at Classic FM where he hosts the Sunday morning show The Sunday Spa, which has an audience share of 20% (their average is 10%). He was also one of the judges of last year’s ITV1 series Popstar to Operastar alongside Katherine Jenkins and Meat Loaf which was shown on ITV1 on Fridays at 9pm. Laurence is a regular on Radio 4, his last series was called Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s Escape to the Country and he is about to start recording a new programme called House Beautiful based on an exhibition at the V&A.

Laurence’s other credits include an eight part series To The Manor Bowen which followed his move from London to a 16th Century house in Gloucestershire and the renovation and decoration of the house. This series was shown in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Laurence regularly guest edits House Beautiful, where he also writes a column. He also wrote a book called Decorating with Laurence which was published in 2010.

As well as running his own interior design practice in Cirencester, Laurence has a number of very successful product ranges including a best-selling wallpaper and paint range, bed linen, a range of mugs, glassware, cutlery, carpets, wrapping paper and cards and bent wire garden accessories along with a whole range of products designed solely for Matalan.

Laurence is also the Design Chief for HomeForm and is working across Moben Kitchens, Dolphin Bathrooms and Sharps Bedrooms.
