Kirsty Wark is one of Britain’s most experienced television journalists.  She has presented the BBC‘s flagship nightly current affairs show Newsnight for nearly 25 years. She also hosted The Review Show for over a decade. She has conducted long form interviews with everyone from Margaret Thatcher to Madonna, Harold Pinter to Pete Doherty, Damian Hirst to George Clooney and the likes of Toni Morrison, Donna Tartt and Philip Roth.

Aside from News and Arts presenting, Kirsty fronted the critically acclaimed BBC 2 documentary Blurred Lines: The New Battle of the Sexes and her documentary The Insider’s Guide To Menopause which aired on BBC Scotland. She also reached the final in Celebrity Masterchef.

She has made cameo appearances in a range of television dramas, radio programmes and films including Dr WhoAbsolutely Fabulous, The IT Crowd and Spooks. Kirsty has won several major awards for her work including BAFTA Awards for Outstanding Contribution to BroadcastingJournalist of the Year and Best Television Presenter.

Born in Dumfries she is married to Alan Clements and has two children. Her debut novel, The Legacy of Elizabeth Pringle, was published in 2014. She is currently writing her second novel.
