Nabil's comedy is described as a much-needed breath of fresh air as he uses clever wit to highlight relevant and important current affairs and issues while also crushing negative stereotypes of Muslims. The young comedian from Croydon's material appeals to all audiences and demographics which helped him to become the youngest black comedian to perform stand-up at the Hammersmith Apollo, at the age of 22.
In 2010 he also entered a national competition called Which Religion is Funniest? judged by Omid Djalili and David Baddiel, Nabil was crowned the joint winner of the competition and as a result, was chosen to perform at the premiere of The Infidel film. Nabil toured four UK cities in July 2011 with his show Don't Panic, I'm Islamic! he toured alongside fellow comedians, Prince Abdi, Jeff Mirza, Humza Arshad and Nazim Ali. By November he was performing his Asia vs. Africa Comedy Clash show to ten different cities UK wide.
Nabil has performed at an array of places including Choice FM Comedy Club, the Comedy Cafe, Jongleurs and the Comedy Store, he has also written various content for comedians on panel shows. From 2009 to 2010 Nabil took his talents to writing, acting and directing The Show Sho Show which was shown on Channel AKA furthermore he worked on a sketch with the producers of 3 Non-Blondes and Little Miss Jocelyn. Nabil has had various media credits, from appearing on Channel 4's 4thought.tv in 2013 to BBC Local Radio in 2014 and a BBC Two documentary called Muslims Like Us.
A passionate human rights advocate who reflects his beliefs not only in his material but also in the work he chooses to get involved in. Nabil strongly believes in the importance of supporting the homeless, especially in London, working with youths to prevent gang culture and knife crime, supporting orphans in Africa and the human rights of prisoners. Nabil spent two weeks in 2012 educating Malawi children on HIV and he also runs comedy workshops within London to encourage children to use an alternative form of expression.
