Actor and presenter Adam Thomas is known for his role, playing Adam Barton in Emmerdale. Adam’s talents aren’t limited to acting as he has also become an experienced host and participated in a number of games shows. Adam started his acting career in 2002 with a guest appearance on BBC soap, Doctors. Four years later, he landed his first major role as Donte Charles in Waterloo Road, a new BBC teen drama. In 2009 Adam left Waterloo Road after a successful three years and announced he would be joining the cast of Emmerdale, where he entertained audiences for nearly a decade.
During his time on the show, Emmerdale was crowned the ‘Best Soap’ at the British Soap Awards for two consecutive years and the ‘Best Serial Drama’ in 2017 and 2018 at the National Television Awards. Adam also achieved third place on the sixteenth series of the reality TV show I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2016. After leaving ITV’s Emmerdale, Adam Thomas joined the cast of Nativity! The Musical for the 2018 Christmas run. The Liverpool Echo gave the show five stars and had high praise for Adam who was making his stage debut.
Recently, Adam has branched out and added entrepreneur to his many talents. Opening a restaurant has been a childhood dream of his and so 'The Spinn' was born; a stylish bar and restaurant in the Manchester suburbs. Since its launch in September, Adam has thrown himself into making it a success, however, he’s due to take a step away and return to TV this winter.

We won’t miss him from our screens for long as ITV has just announced that they will be producing a new six-part series starring Adam.
