Queen of the Jungle and the iconic Albert Square, Jacqueline Jossa is a talented soap actress and reality television star. Professionally trained at D&B Theatre School and the Royal Academy of Music in London, it’s no surprise Jacqueline has gone on to become an award-winning actress, theatre school owner and media personality. Originally cast in EastEnders in 2010, Jacqueline joined the infamous Branning family as Lauren Branning. The subject of particularly challenging storyline lines whilst on the show, Jacqueline’s character portrayed love, grooming scandals and alcohol addiction. For her incredible portrayal of the sensitive storyline involving alcoholism, Jacqueline was nominated for the 2013 Inside Soap Awards ‘Best Storyline’ accolade. As Lauren Branning Jacqueline won the Inside Soap Award for Best Actress and the National Television Award for Best Newcomer in 2012.
With over a decade of industry experience, Jacqueline founded ‘The Jac Jossa Academy’ in September 2019. Opening its doors to children aged three to sixteen, students can learn skills in the three main performance disciplines: singing, dancing and acting. Jacqueline is hugely involved with the school and teaches many of the classes herself. The venture has been so successful at the start of 2020 they added Sunday Academy in response to the demand, and are now open seven days a week for expert training, a testament to her dedication and business acumen.
After her departure from Albert Square in 2018, Jacqueline caught the attention of the ITV producers who invited her to join the eighteenth series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!. An instant fan favourite, Jacqueline faced her fair share of bushtucker trials during her time in the jungle, including being covered in creepy-crawlies, holding a spider in her mouth and being suspended in a box of cockroaches. The journey from fearsome to fearless struck a chord with viewers, who voted Jacqueline Queen of the Jungle 2019.
Since her international reality TV win as ‘Jungle Jac’, Jacqueline has taken a number of opportunities as a brand ambassador and social media influencer, including developing her own clothing range. The clothing line was designed by Jacqueline in collaboration with ‘In The Style’ and was an instant sell-out due to its focus on female empowerment and incorporation of all sizes, as body positivity is a key focus for the jungle star. A well-loved personality, talented actress and no stranger to the spotlight, Jacqueline is a fantastic addition to any event.
