Olympic speaker and champion cyclist Jamie Staff MBE is a former gold medallist who has since retired to become a coach and professional sports speaker.
Originally interested in BMX riding Jamie Staff MBE took up track cycling in 2001 having already achieved the 1996 World BMX Championship; he made his first international appearance at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and in 2004 worked for the first time as a hopeful Olympic speaker at the Athens Games.
A phenomenally talented rider Jamie Staff MBE gained recognition in both team and individual races, he has represented his country at two Olympic Games as well as winning a medal for England at the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games. Staff is a versatile rider and has had success in both track racing and BMX racing. He has worked as an Olympic speaker at a number of track cycling events and his success as part of the Olympic sprint and Keirin teams has made him a popular coach and inspirational figure to many a would-be cyclist.
Beyond the Olympics Jamie Staff MBE has participated in some of the most well regarded racing competitions in the world and holds five Track World Championship medals and four Team Sprint gold’s. Retiring on a high in 2010 Staff has been working as a coach in America though he intends to return to the UK to open a cycling academy and begin working as a dedicated sports speaker.
