Upon graduating from Cambridge University with a BA in English, Will went on to be a Graduate Trainee with Mars and held several senior positions with the company, including the Brand Manager for Whiskas, UK, from 1994-1996 and the Senior Brand Manager for Pedigree, Switzerland, from 1996-1998. It was not long before Will went on to become the European Brand Development Director for Mars, showing his aptitude for marketing. In 1999 he then became the Head of Marketing for Moonfruit and the company was awarded BBC2’s Online Innovation Award and nominated an ‘E-Brands Leader’ by Superbrands as a results of Will’s strategies. As a Project Director at OxfordSM, Will led the marketing and brand strategies for giants such as Unilever, GSK, News International, Marks & Spencer and Lloyds TSB.
Very quickly, Will became one of Europe’s most reputable marketers. Whilst working with Unilever, his passion for a purposeful business grew and he led the VP Global Marketing Capability Strategy for the company, consequently changing the way the company’s 6,000 marketers work together for the foreseeable future. Pursuing his passion for purpose, in 2014 Will founded Collectively, a digital media company which worked with over 35 multinational companies which focussed on sustainable ways of living and consuming. Currently Will is a Collaborator with Gameshift, and is the co-founder of Motive.
