In a bid to help fund her racing career, Vicki also took on work as a racing instructor at Silverstone Circuit and worked on motorsport magazines. In 1997, Vicki burst into the television limelight as part of the presenting crew of the original Top Gear.
Vicki was the presenter of Fifth Gear for an impressive 14 years, a time during which she participated in countless racing events. Vicki has competed in the six-hour and 24-hour Britcar races at the Silverstone Circuit and placed 2nd and 3rd in Ferrari races at Brands Hatch. She has also competed in the Clio Cup and Carrera Cup, having raced in cars such as a Porsche 911, Renault Spider, Ferrari F430 and a Proton Saloon Car throughout her time as a competitor. She also made headlines as the first woman to win a Maserati race at the Maserati Trofeo supporting race at the British F1 GP. Vicki has also been fortunate to publish her own book, titled 100 Sexiest Cars.
