Vanessa Ruck

Vanessa Ruck is a pioneering female motorcycle racer and rally driver who has competed at international competitions such as the Africa Eco Race, Red Bull Romaniacs, Qatar International Baja, and Morocco Desert Challenge. After recovering from a car accident, Vanessa used racing as a positive outlet and has gone on to become a well-known and respected figure within the industry. Vanessa later founded The Girl On A Bike to facilitate her public speaking and is now a compelling motivational speaker who shares her story to inspire audiences across the globe. She is available as a corporate host, keynote speaker for events and school appearances, and covers topics such as resilience, mental health, mindset, adversity, identity, and performance.

After completing her BA in International Business Studies at the University of Portsmouth in 2009 and her MA in Public Relations from Bournemouth University in 2009, Vanessa held a series of publishing roles, including Researcher & Press Editor at Agenda Collective, Account Assistant at Takeaway PR and Account Assistant at Deep South Media. From there, Vanessa joined RPIME Research International, working her way up from a Project Manager to Automotive Lead. She eventually became RPIME Research's Account Director and Head of Commercial UK. In 2018, she became a Columnist for Motor Cycle News and continued to share her expert insights with readers. Vanessa was also a Brand Ambassador for a series of organisations, including Cardo Systems, Teng Tools UK & Ireland, Revolution Race and Mosko Moto. 

As a professional speaker, Vanessa has held multiple roles and joined Sandstone Communications in 2021 as an Associate for Keynote Speaker events. She also served as a Social Media Coach at on-group and delivered a standout speech for TEDx Delray Beach titled 'The Power to Overcome Life's Setbacks is Yours'. Most recently in 2026, Vanessa appeared at the ABR Festival, the UK's biggest motorcycle festival, where she hosted the Himalayan Masterclass Stage and spoke at the Ducati Stage.
