Abbie Eaton is a championship-winning British Racing Driver and has served as The Stig on The Grand Tour. With over 20 years of experience in motorsport, Abbie is looking to highlight the reality of the sport and break down its barriers to entry, in particular stressing the financial and gender disparities within it.
From watching her father compete to winning races herself, Abbie was gifted her first Go-Kart at 10 years old and began to compete across the UK. At 15, she moved onto racing cars, her first being a Citroen Saxo, which was built and engineered by her father. After jumping into senior-level racing with a professional team, Abbie joined a series called the Production Touring Car Trophy, in which she won her first-ever championship with 15/18 race wins. However, without the proper funding, she was forced to take time out of racing to build up her finances to compete again. With her father building a Mazda Mx5, she was able to compete on and off in 2012-2013 before securing a sponsor to fully fund a season in 2014. That year, Abbie won her second championship as the only female on a grid of 37. Following a sponsorship from Maserati GB, Abbie became the Pro/Am Vice Champion after racing in the British 2016 GT4 Championship. She was also offered a seat in the 2017 Blancpain GT Endurance Series, the most challenging GT3 Championship in the world, of which she won and became the championship's first female winner.
Further making history in motorsport, Abbie was given the opportunity to race two seasons in the W Series, a female-only championship supporting Formula One. In 2022, she co-founded Rebelleo Motorsport and looked to challenge the barriers for many entering motorsport. After becoming the first female in motorsport history to qualify for pole position at Silverstone, Abbie won the race the following day, further cementing her place in racing history. Alongside her professional racing career, she has been featured on TV, serving as a test driver and The Stig on Amazon’s The Grand Tour, working closely with Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond. She also took part in Richard’s ‘The Smallest Cog’. Abbie is also a stunt and precision driver for other film and TV shows.
With copious wins under her belt and a turbulent journey through motorsport, Abbie is a seasoned public speaker with an incredible story to tell. Captivating audiences through her journey to the top, she encourages individuals to remain resilient in the face of setbacks, remain determined to achieve, and stay motivated. With discussions on being a female in a male-dominated field to sharing entrepreneurial skills, Abbie is a speaker you do not want to miss.
