Tom Ford

Tom Ford is a talented rower, who represents the Great Britain Rowing Team at a variety of events. Having competed for Team GB at Under 23 level, Tom is now competing in the senior GB Rowing Team and has claimed World Championship, European Championship and Olympic medals for his country. A graduate of Newcastle University, Tom first made headlines as a double World University Gold medallist. Showing immense promise as a rower, Tom was later selected to become an Under 23 level member of the Team GB Rowing Team. As a member of the Under 23 team, Tom claimed 5th place at the World Rowing U23 Championships. He was also a member of the Leander Club, claiming victory with the team after they won the 2016 Ladies’ Challenge Plate at the Henley Royal Regatta. Now, Tom rows as part of the senior Team GB Rowing Team and has claimed two World Championship Bronze medals.

Achieving success after success with the senior Team GB, Tom has also won two European Championship Silver medals and a Gold European Championships medal. In 2021, after the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games were postponed due to Covid, Tom competed and claimed Olympic Bronze in the Eight – alongside fellow athlete Moe Sbihi. Previously, Tom has also been a rowing coach for Shiplake College and Pangbourne College, teaching budding future rowing superstars the tricks of the trade. Most recently, Tom achiveved a Gold Medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, in the Men's Eight Rowing.
