Suzanne Edmond is the Director of Moxy Communications – an organisation she founded to help others develop the strategies and capabilities they require to deliver their messages with power, clarity, and conviction. With 20 years of experience working across media relations, external affairs, digital, marketing and crisis communications, Suzanne is now available to speak at a wide range of events.
Diagnosed with dyslexia in her 30s, Suzanne is certain that it was her dyslexia that led her down the path of working in communications. After obtaining her BScEcon in Politics from Cardiff University and MSc in European Policy, she worked as a Ministerial Support Team Leader at the Cabinet Office where her main responsibilities included liaising with senior government officials across Whitehall. She then served as a Public Affairs Manager for Advertising Association’s Food Advertising Unit, before becoming a Policy and Stakeholder Consultant for Shell.
Before she worked with the Department of Transport for the UK, Suzanne was the Head of Communications at Centrica. During her tenure as the Director of Communications for the Department for Transport, she founded a Neurodiversity Network and was one of the most openly dyslexic senior communications leaders. A fervent believer that dyslexic thinking is an untapped source of creative solutions to today’s unprecedented communications challenges, she founded Moxy Communications in 2022. Prior to this, Suzanne served as a Trustee at the British Dyslexia Association.
Suzanne promotes understanding, embracing and empowering those who think differently. Experienced in working in high-pressure situations, having handled the government department's communications during Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic, Suzanne is a seasoned communications professional. She is now available to hire for a number of events where she shares her views and experience on burnout, dyslexia and leading through crises. Book Suzanne Edmond today!
