Leanne Maskell is an internationally renown ADHD speaker, best-selling author, model and founder of ADHD Works who, as a certified ADHD Coach, has been helping others who also suffer with the mental disability take control of their lives. Having presented for the likes of the World Health Organisation, Leanne is able to deliver tailored and informative talks on ADHD to both individuals and companies ensuring those with ADHD are able to feel empowered within the workplace.
When she was just 13 years old, Leanne’s mother sent a photo of her to a local modelling agency, this is an industry in which she would stay for over a decade. Despite being successful as a model, having appeared in the likes of Vogue, Leanne did not want to model for the rest of her career and studied Law (LLB) at Queen Mary University of London. She then became a Legal Taxonomist for Lexis Nexis and, after a four-year legal sabbatical, then became a Public Law Policy Advisor for the Law Society. Here Leanne would play an integral part in reforming the Mental Health Act 1983 and managed over 30 people on the Immigrations and Mental Health and Disability Law Committees. Wanting to raise awareness for the lack of regulations within the modelling industry, since 2017, Leanne has been an author, consultant and speaker for The Model Manifesto. Her work covering everything from contracts to social media has now been featured by the Times, Lorraine, BBC News, Grazia, the Week, and many more with her book ‘The Model Manifesto’ becoming a best-seller.
After struggling, like many other adults, to get a diagnosis for her ADHD, Leanne made a drastic career change and became an ADHD Coach where she empowered others with ADHD to take control of their lives. In 2022 she founded ADHD Works where she is the Director and an ADHD Coach. Her best-selling book ‘ADHD: an A to Z’ led Leanne to provide international speeches for companies such as Microsoft on neurodiversity. Leanne also offers life changing courses where she works with clients 1:1, teaching them the tools and strategy they need to be able to understand their ADHD and harness their resilience and ability to hyperfocus to make them more successful in the workplace.
Now a highly sought-after international speaker, having given engagements to some of the largest companies in the world, Leanne is able to help companies cope with the 400% rise in adults seeking ADHD assessments since 2020. Training these companies to help their understanding on ADHD, she helps them create a more welcoming and inclusive work environment for those with invisible disabilities. If you, or your organisation, is looking for a seasoned speaker who is able to share her first-hand knowledge on ADHD and neurodiversity, look no further than Leanne Maskell to hire at your next event.
In March 2023 we sat down virtually with Leanne Maskell and discussed what businesses can do to better support their neurodiverse employees. Watch our Exclusive Interview with Leanne Maskell.
