Steven Bartlett

Steven Bartlett is one the most successful young businessmen in the UK, famed as one of the Youngest Dragon's ever to appear on BBC One's Dragons Den. He is the Founder and former CEO of Social Chain, one of the UK's largest social media marketing agencies worth over £300 million. Steven Bartlett is also an investor, motivational speaker, and podcaster. Having amassed a large social following of over 2 million people, Steven's Diary of a CEO podcast consistently ranks in the top 10 business podcasts in Europe on Apple and recently topped Spotify charts as the number one podcast overall on the platform.

A university dropout, Steven formed his first company at the age of 18. He developed a student communal website named Wallpark. While that business did not hit the heights he expected, Steven defied all expectations when he set up two successful businesses, Social Chain and Media Chain by the time he was 22 years old, which were immediately and immensely successful. Steven has now combined his two flagships to create the first integrated social media company, listing the likes of Uber, Apple, Amazon, Coca-Cola and Nokia among others as clients.

In 2020, Steven stepped down from his CEO role and in 2022, launched Flight Story, alongside investors Mark Cuban and Gary Vaynerchuk. Flight Story set out a new platform for the next evolution of the internet offering a platform for Web3 apps using blockchain, and NFT platforms DAOS. He is at the cutting edge of technological innovation. He is also now the Co-Founder of Thirdweb, and an Investor for Catena Capital and atai Life Sciences. Steven's podcast The Diary of a CEO has seen great success for the entrepreneur, with impressive statistics such as 100m+ downloads, 49/51 gender split, downloaded in 166 countries, one of the most streamed shows on British Airways, streamed in 50+ UK prisons, streamed for more than 12m hours each month and downloaded more than 15m times every month. On the 19th of January 2023, Steven launched The Flight Story Fund - an initiative investing in the next wave of great European founders. In April 2023, Steven announced that his company Flight Story had acquired the UK's leading web 3.0 marketing agency, Zebu.

He also released his debut book in 2021 - "Happy Sexy Millionaire" which was a Sunday Times Bestseller in the year. In 2022, Steven made his appearance in series 19 of BBC Dragons' Den. At just 28 years old Steven was the youngest dragon ever pitting himself against long-time investors on the show. A passionate, driven and award-winning entrepreneur, Steven Bartlett was recently inducted into Manchester’s Hall of Fame by the Mayor of Greater Manchester. He has also been named the Most Influential Individual in Marketing and Social Media Marketing by 100 agency leaders in 2017 and 2018 respectively. In 2020 Steven was listed in the Forbes 30 under 30, and in 2022 he was recognised as Amazon's Best of 2022 Podcast. In 2024, Steven participated in the charity football match Soccer Aid, named Soccer Aid 2024 Man of the Match.

Outside of the business world Steven is also able to speak on his experience as a black man in the UK and has in the past described a small number of unfortunate incidents in which he has personally experienced racial discrimination - despite this, Steven is vocal in his support for equality across all members of society, standing against racial injustice, standing for gender and LGBT rights.
