He also found success in the 2014 season as part of the Europe team that won the Ryder Cup. Claiming his fourth European Tour victory, he won at the 2019 Hero Indian Open. In 2022, Stephen was announced as the captain of the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup team for the match against the United States and he later returned as captain of the team in 2025.
