Andrew Coltart

Former professional golfer, Andrew Coltart is best known for his impressive results on the European Tour. From a standout amateur career to winning results as a professional, Andrew’s contributions to golf have been defining and spanned more than 20 years, making him one of the most recognisable names in the sport. Drawing on his expertise, in recent years Andrew has transitioned to media roles with great success as a sports commentator, and he is a popular after-dinner speaker to entertain guests at corporate events. Playing on the European Tour since 1993, Andrew had turned professional just two years prior and made his debut win within a year at the Scottish Professional Championship. Andrew’s career highlights came in the form of two European Tour wins, an achievement and ambition of any golfer, Andrew secured first place at the 1998 Qatar Masters and the 2001 Great North Open, a testament to his talent on the course. He has proven himself a precise and skilful competitor, winning such competitions as the Australian PGA in 1994 and 1997, the Alfred Dunhill Cup with Scotland and he was a member of the 1999 Ryder Cup team facing Tiger Woods in singles.

In his early career, Andrew showed distinctive promise as a young player, making a name for himself on the amateur circuit. His earliest achievements were in the 1987 Scottish Boys Amateur Championships and the 1991 Scottish Amateur Stroke Play Championship, securing first place in both. Andrew was also called on for several team appearances, having established himself as a gifted player, he played an integral role in the Eisenhower Trophy and the Walker Cup for Team GB, he even led a victory for his country in the 1990 St Andrews Trophy.

Since retiring from professional play in 2012, Andrew has dedicated his time to a successful media career, holding such positions as a Sky Sports Commentor, a role that has seen him cover golf across the world. Additionally, Andrew has become a regular on the speaking circuit, attending corporate occasions and golf days as an after-dinner speaker.
