Stronger, longer and higher, Ross Edgley has gone beyond the bounds of human limitation to achieve some of the most impressive goals in fitness. Best known for becoming the first person to swim around the whole of Great Britain, Edgley completed the mind blowing achievement in 2018 in 157 days and swam a total of 1,792 miles. Enduring a number of setbacks on his journey, including his tongue disintegrating due to the salt water, Ross Edgley overcame the barriers to win the Guinness World Record for The World’s Longest Staged Sea Swim and the satisfaction of doing what no one had done before.
All round adventurer, Ross Edgley has taken on an eclectic array of challenges in the pursuit of pushing human boundaries. Two of his most high profile achievements were completed in 2016, ‘The World’s Strongest Marathon’ where he pulled a Mini Countryman Cooper for 26.2 miles and the ‘World’s Longest Rope Climb’ where he reached the height of Mount Everest. Other monumental achievements for Edgley include: an Olympic length triathlon carrying a tree, completing 30 marathons in 30 days and running 1,000 miles barefoot.
Ross Edgley’s degree in Sport and Exercise has helped him understand his body and plan for the events he has competed in. Additionally his invested interest in nutrition and fitness has led him to co-found The Protein Works, which is one of the UK's most forward thinking companies when it comes to body fuel. He also provides advice to others on how to care for and develop their bodies, and works as a writer for a number of top publications like: GQ, Men’s Health and Telegraph.
Named in Askmen’s World’s 50 Fittest Men of 2016, Ross Edgley is recognised globally for his jaw dropping feats.
