Extreme adventurer, Rob Ferguson has climbed, cycled and ran his way through some of the world's most ultimate environments, capturing his travels with his captivating photography along the way. A conscious traveller, climate change is at the forefront of Rob’s experiences and his desire to highlight the challenges faced by global warming motivate his work. An ambitious, avid explorer, Rob’s stories from each corner of the globe are engrossing for a range of audiences, and the qualities he’s developed in order to thrive in such environments, including mental resilience, leadership and bravery, are easily transferable into business culture.
From cycling across the USA from the Mexican border to South Dakota, to tracing the same steps, on foot, as Operation Gunnerside walking across Norway to Sweden, the extent of Rob’s ambitious challenges knows no limits. Fascinated by pushing the limits of human mental and physical resilience, Rob not only completes his trips but documents them through photographs, writing and filmmaking, all linked through the stories of people he meets throughout. Innovative and captivating in his storytelling, Rob’s ability to allow others to live the adventures through him is a compelling experience and skill, and one he demonstrates as a keynote speaker.
With a key driving factor for Rob being the environmental impacts of climate change, he has become a Fellow of the National Geographic Society in order to allow him to further his geographical contributions. Additionally, his adventures and attitude is ideal for promoting outdoor brands, and he has teamed up as an ambassador for Arc’teryx, a sustainable all weather clothing brand based in London.
Most recently, Rob’s adventures have continued to get bigger and bolder, allowing him to develop bravery and resilience beyond comparison. In 2019 he recreated the steps of William Morris in 1872 through Iceland on a fat bike, to understand the journey taken by the pioneering environmentalist. After the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, derailing Rob’s plans, he was undeterred and embarked on a mission to climb the height of Mt Everest from his home. Walking barefoot, up and down his stairs for 24 hours, Rob completed the feat, and proved that nothing can stop ambition.
