Pippa Grange has led a decorated career as an applied psychologist, revered for her work as the Head of People and Team Development for The Football Association. Working primarily in elite sports, Pippa shares her expertise on the workings of the human mind to help audiences understand culture, ethics and leadership. With over a decade of experience in both the public and private sectors, Pippa navigates some of the most pressing issues in the world of modern sport. Now hired as an international speaker, Pippa is widely respected for her expertise on culture and ethics in sports, sustaining performance and broadening the definition of success.
Now a qualified Doctor of Applied Psychology in the areas of culture, leadership and ethics, Pippa began her journey into the sector of psychology when she achieved a BSc in Sports Science and Psychology from Loughborough University. She then went on to achieve a Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Communication from ACAP and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology from Charles Sturt University. In 2005, Pippa began working as the Manager of Psychology Services for the AFL Players Association, and in 2006 she returned to education to achieve a Doctorate of Applied Psychology from Victoria University. She later went on to work as the General Manager of Culture and Leadership for the AFL Players Association, before being appointed as the General Manager of People & Culture for the Cotton on Group. Pippa has also been the Vincent Fairfax Fellow of St James Ethics Centre, a further testament to her prowess in ethics.
In 2016, Pippa was promoted to become the General Manager of Culture, Leadership & Ethics for the Cotton On Group, responsible for ensuring that the global brand stocked in 1300 stores across 16 countries was a responsible and well-led organisation. Amongst her work for the Cotton On Group, Pippa also became the Founder and Director of Bluestone Edge – a recognised consultancy specialising in work with elite sports teams and corporate clients. In 2017, Pippa was appointed in her best-known role, working as the Head of People and Team Development for The Football Association, overseeing all player, coach and staff psychological developments. Since then, Pippa has also worked as the Chief Culture Officer of Right to Dream, a Consultant Psychologist and a Culture Coach.
Having also achieved an Advanced Doctor of Arts, Ecopsychology and Environmental Humanities from the Viridis Graduate Institute, Pippa is a distinguished applied psychologist whose expertise should not be missed.
