Ovie Mughelli

Professional footballer, turned environmental advocate, Ovie Mughelli has had a vast and impressive career. Making a name for himself in the sporting world, Ovie is a former professional American footballer, who played in the fullback position. After playing throughout high school and college, Ovie was selected in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, a move which saw him score his first NFL touchdown and go all-pro. In 2007 he transitioned to join the Atlanta Falcons, where he received the largest contract in NFL history for his position, at the time, and spent four years gaining a reputation as an unstoppable player.

Since retiring in 2012 from professional play, Ovie has continued to remain a prominent figure in the industry, acting as a sports presenter and pundit. From hosting ‘Ovie the Top’ to presenting the radio show ‘Pro Football Today’ Ovie expert opinion can be seen and heard across every platform. Most recently, Ovie has acted as the Sports Analyst for 120 Sports, and hosted the Bud Light NFL Game Day Show, a broadcast watched by thousands across the country. Outside of his work in sports media, Ovie is an accomplished live event host, having conducted red carpet interviews for the ESPYs and presented the Trumpet Awards.

Much of Ovie’s current time is dedicated to his passion for the green planet. Establishing The Ovie Mughelli Foundation in 2009, Ovie has spent over a decade using his public profile to raise awards of environmental issues, such as sustainability and climate change. Championing individuals and businesses to take an active role I caring for the planet, Ovie promotes environmental stewardship and STEM support to engage the next generation in climate action. Through his eco work, Ovie has conducted keynote talks for the US Department of State, the White House Sports & Sustainability Conference and Earth Day on the Mall.
