Sports commentator Ian Darke is best known for working for ESPN and BT Sport. Specialising in boxing and football presenting, Ian has filled fans with information about the game covering some of the greatest matches of all time. In 1995 Ian began presenting boxing for Sky, commentating for the now-famous match where Mike Tyson bit off part of Evander Holyfield’s ear. Ian then went on to present football once more, this time covering games in the Champions League. After enjoying a high-profile career with both the BBC and Sky Sports, Ian was recruited to join ESPN in 2010. Joining their coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Ian began presenting to an American market and gained an international reputation. Ian was later offered the opportunity to become ESPN’s voice of the Premier League, going on to commentate on games in tournaments such as the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Most recently, Ian Announced he will be joining Fox Sports’ cast for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
