Broadcaster, host, and trustee of the London Youth Games, Charlie Webster is one of the most recognisable faces in the world of sport. She has made history as a journalist, becoming the first woman to present several prestigious sporting events. However, out of the limelight, Charlie suffered devastating familial abuse, an experience that now drives her fundraising challenges. She is even an advocate for Women’s Aid. Whether you require an inspirational keynote speaker, experienced host or recognisable awards presenter, Charlie is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
In 2019, Charlie released her highly anticipated podcast series, Undiscussable - the culmination of her advocacy work in domestic and sexual abuse, shining a light on survivors’ stories. The podcast has featured on a TalkRadio special. Additionally, she presents My Sporting Mind, an Apple recommended podcast that interviews sport’s elite on their mental health battles. Charlie is a qualified psychotherapist who runs a MindTalk mental health group, a testament to her comprehensive understanding of behavioural patterns and mental health.
Supplying her years of professional experience at global events, Charlie’s speeches are revered for their insightful content and compelling delivery. From speaking in the UK parliament and the US Senate to the United Nations and numerous sporting events, Charlie has been booked for functions of all shapes and sizes. Remaining with the UN, Charlie was named their Malaria No More ambassador and has inspired young female audiences as part of their project, Girl Up.
2019 saw Charlie make her debut on the prestigious TEDx stage in collaboration with the NHS, to discuss the stigma surrounding PTSD, of which she has personal experience since a near-death experience. As a broadcaster, Charlie was a sports journalist for ITV, BBC, and Sky, covering a range of sporting competitions, including the Olympics.
In 2005, she became the first female in Asia to represent live football and again made history in 2015 as the first woman globally to host a heavyweight title fight. A respected figure in the media, Charlie has since had the opportunity to interview countless celebrities, appear on every major news outlets, and is even credited with the success of Real Madrid TV. Such popularity helped her raise funds from her 3,000-cycling challenge, during which she made a miracle recovery from the devastating disease, Malaria. A truly inspiring female figure, Charlie has shared such stories at Inspiring Girls International and Female Leaders in Corporate Counsel.
Throughout her prominent career, Charlie has been dedicated to raising funds through extreme challenges, like the Ironman Triathlon, to support the eradication of Malaria, bring justice to abuse victims, and end mental health stigma. She has worked extensively with the Ministry of Justice on the Secretary of State's Victims Panel, a testament to Charlie’s reputation as an influential campaigner.
As a Women’s Aid ambassador, Charlie has contributed to progressive policies in parliament and was honoured for her work with the JustGiving Award and Fundraising Hero Award, by the British Parliament. A fundraising highlight of Charlies was her Big Challenge, which saw her run 250 miles visiting 40 football clubs, to raise awareness for men’s mental health. An inspirational woman who made history-defining contributions to both broadcasting and charity, Charlie Webster is a captivating host and public speaker.

Official Feedback from In-Person & Virtual Events
Feedback from In-Person Events:
"I have had the pleasure of working with Charlie on a number of occasions, having called on her services as a corporate event host, interviewer and panel chair. Every time we have worked together, I’ve found Charlie to be fantastically easy to work with – well prepared and passionate and a refreshing mix of personal and professional. Most of all, I appreciate working with someone who is willing to contribute to the overall outcome, offering ideas to build on the brief and produce a better end result." - Rebecca, Pfizer
"Charlie is by far one of the best hosts I've worked with, her ability to draw the audience into everything she did was really warm, genuine and engaging. It is hard at live galas like the one we did last week to turn on a sixpence and remain fresh and involved but Charlie did all of that and more… and with a smile and a sense of humour. I will certainly be recommending her to our clients in the future." - Adam, Private Drama Events
"Charlie has both hosted and spoken on numerous occasions for us. Most recently in May of this year she hosted our 10th anniversary dinner at the Guildhall. She was exceptional and her energy set the mood for the night. It went as well as it did because of her. Charlie has a very human approach and her ability to think on her feet is second to none. She also spoke in parliament for us where she was incredibly moving and inspirational and revved up a 10k run with her infectious motivation and genuine care for people." - Alison, Best Begginings
"It was a real pleasure to work with Charlie in what has been a very difficult year for everybody. We first worked with on the ‘Inside the Mind’ series that was commissioned by the EFL and Mind for Mental Health Awareness Week in May 2020 during lockdown and Charlie used her experience and professionalism to lead some challenging interviews with sensitivity and insight. Charlie then expertly hosted a virtual parliamentary roundtable this Autumn for the EFL and Mind, showcasing the best of the On Your Side mental health partnership to a high profile audience made up of MPs and Chief Executives. All the feedback we had was in praise of Charlie’s handling of the session on the day. Both before and after Charlie was engaged, prepared and happy to be a part of the event. We’d certainly recommend working with Charlie on future projects." - Nick, EFL Public Affairs Manager
"Charlie hosted ‘A future vision for the London Youth Games x Nike.’ The session took place on a Zoom webinar platform. We were excited to have presentations and two panel conversations. The panels included young people and some of our most important stakeholders from Sport England, Nike and London Sport. Charlie brought a brilliant tone and professionalism to the event. Navigating us through the various parts of the session and making all of our guests feel incredibly welcome. The feedback on the session was brilliant and we couldn’t have done it without Charlie." - Andy, London Youth Games
"Charlie was asked if she would give her story at this year’s event (January 2020) and this is key to our attendees to help engage, remind and encourage their support. We've learned many things over the years and being able to convey your message in a way which connects but says don't pity me, help, but don't hinder, engage and support, help - if you can. Charlie conveyed these messages and more through her personal story telling, her challenges and ability to overcome adversity. Further, what's important is that speakers need to find a way to overcome their fear and engage the audience before, during and after their speech. This isn't easy (an immense understatement) and Charlie handled this superbly. Staying the course for a time after speaking with attendees and supporters. Personally I have got to know Charlie since this event and her excellent work with Mind also, an area during Covid which has become another key focus for our communities and us all just being good human beings. I cannot thank Charlie enough and we know we have her support and would encourage her support (to you) if being considered." - Ray, IBM
