Jeremy Snape is an accomplished international and domestic former British cricket player known for his talented off break bowling style. Jeremy has been working in the sports industry since the early 1990s and alongside his professional abilities has achieved a Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology. Embarking on his professional career with Northampton in 1991 Jeremy was part of the team that won the NatWest trophy in his very first season.
After eight years with the club, Jeremy moved to Gloucestershire where he played a pivotal role in the teams treble and double wins of 2000 and 2001 respectively. He then moved to Leicestershire where he was part of the Twenty20 Cup-winning team of 2004. Despite his retirement, he continues to work as a cricket speaker for all of his previous clubs. Jeremy went on to become Captain of Leicestershire where his experience as a player and knowledge as a sports speaker helped to lead the team to further T20 success, including two T20 cup victories in three years.
Alongside his domestic success, Jeremy was part of the 2007 World Cup-winning England squad and played a total of 10 ODI’s for his national team. He continues to work as an after dinner speaker for the England international team and appears at both team and corporate events discussing his time on the squad. Retiring in 2008, Jeremy has become a dedicated sports speaker, focusing predominantly on performance psychology. He founded Sporting Edge in 2005, which solves business challenges using the winning mindset from sport and has presented to a variety of high profile British businesses.
He is now recognised as one of the leaders in the field when in comes to performance psychology and is working alongside Crystal Palace Football Club and the English Rugby team at present. These most recent roles follow on from his positions with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL and with the South African cricket team as their Performance Coach.
Jeremy has also interviewed some of the world’s top sporting champions, coaches, neuroscientists and performance experts and uses these inspirational video’s to reinforce your business’ key messages. An incredibly engaging speaker, Jeremy has hosted Q&A's with the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson previously whilst also delivering individual keynote speeches around how to tackle organisational challenges through the use of video footage from other coaches and performance specialists alongside his own thoughts.
