Lulu Piovesana

Lulu Piovesana is a British-Austrian judoka who competed for Team GB until January 2023 when she switched to compete for the Austrian National team. Lulu is one of the most talented judokas on the circuit today and still has more to give. She is the European U23 Champion and 4x a Grand Prix medallist. Aside from her incredible sporting career, Lulu loves the great outdoors and travel, passions she included in her keynote speeches where she also speaks on how to mentally prepare oneself to reach peak performance, health and fitness, combat, and beauty and fashion.

Lulu took up judo at a young age and developed a love for the sport, so much so that she decided to pursue a career in it. Lulu trained at the British Judo Centre of Excellence where she further developed her skills to become one of the most respected judokas in Great Britain. In 2013 Lulu won bronze at the Cadet Worlds in Miami and then in 2015, won four European Cups for the Juniors. Developing her craft year after year, Lulu then won bronze at the Grand Prix in 2017 and won gold at the European Open, held in Tallinn in 2019.

After much success, Lulu took a sabbatical from competition after moving to Austria and losing her sponsorship. Upon living in the country for 2 years, at the beginning of 2023, Lulu’s switch was approved by the IJF, and burst back onto the competition scene winning bronze in the European Open held in Rome under the Austrian flag.

With 5 British Judo titles to her name, there is no doubt Lulu will continue to develop her craft as a judoka and will achieve her dream of competing at the Olympics.
