Leon Rolle (Locksmith)

Member of the international award-winning band, Rudimental and former semi professional footballer, Leon Rolle, is best known as his childhood nickname; Locksmith. From releasing UK Number One albums to playing in Soccer Aid, Locksmith is highly accomplished and acclaimed in both of his lifetime passions; music and football. As a down to earth after dinner speaker, Locksmith provides a truly unique insight into two of the most illustrious industries, appealing to audiences of all demographics.

Two UK Number One albums, four UK Top 5 singles and officially named the BBC festival band of the summer, Locksmith has made his mark on the music scene with his band Rudimental. Since forming in 2010, the band has become an internationally acclaimed quad, performing at world class venues like Wembley Stadium, and selling out UK tour dates. Hailing from Hackney, London, Locksmith has always had a passion for music, and this is evident in his dedicated DJ'ing for the drum and bass band. Alongside his band mates, Locksmith has won the 2014 Brit Award for Single of the Year with ‘Waiting all Night’ and 2013 Best Album MOBO Award for Home, amongst a number of enviable other titles.

Showing an early talent for football, Locksmith established himself as a skilled youth player and was affiliated with a number of top UK clubs, as a youngster. Into adulthood, Locksmith continued to play semi professional football, for the likes of Ilford Football Club, valuing not only the physical benefits but the positive impacts on his mental wellbeing. In 2019, Locksmith achieved a boyhood dream, joining the winning lineup of Harry Redknapp’s Rest of the World team for Soccer Aid. Crediting his dedication to fitness for his strong mental resilience, Locksmith embarked on the ultimate challenge in the 2020 series of SAS: Who Dares Wins. Put through his paces by former SAS soldiers, Locksmith was one of only two to complete the gruelling physical and psychological forces selection process, a testament to his unwavering mental strength.
