Highly educated, Kwame holds a BSc in Psychology from the Ohio State University, an MSc in Public Policy and Government Relations from the John Glenn School of Public Affairs at Ohio State University and a JD in Business Law, Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. In 2013, he became a Legal Analyst with the Ohio State University, teaching professionals how to negotiate, find equitable solutions and structure persuasive arguments. He joined Franklin County Municipal Court as a Mediator in 2017 and returned to the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law to become a Professor of Negotiation and Mediation Advocacy in 2018.
In 2019 he served as a Professor of Negotiation and Communication at Otterbein University. This was followed by the role of LinkedIn Learning Instructor, where over 600,000 learners took his course. Kwame currently practises business law at Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP, alongside running the American Negotiation Institute. A regular contributor to Forbes, Kwame is also the bestselling author of Finding Confidence in Conflict and How to Have Difficult Conversations About Race.
The founder of the Curiosity Framework, Kwame, helps people overcome fear, anxiety and negative emotions. Host of the Negotiate Anything podcast, he received over eight million downloads and has listeners in 180 countries.
