Award-winning advertising copywriter, Marty has enjoyed a former career as a registered Pharmacist and stand-up comedian. Spending the majority of his professional career increasing his expertise in resilience, Marty is now a speaker on resilience and change who uses his previous experience as the Australian Comic of the Year to entertain his audience whilst he informs them of how to take control of change. For eight years of his career, Marty performed as a stand-up comedian at venues such as The Comedy Store, the Glee Club and the Reading Rock Festival. He was also fortunate to perform comedy in places such as Melbourne and Norway, solidifying his reputation as an internationally favoured comedian.
Before forging his success as a change and resilience speaker and comedian, Marty was educated at the University of Sydney. Graduating with a Bachelor in Pharmacy, Marty went on to become a registered Pharmacist which he worked for six years before embarking into the world of comedy. During his time as a comedian, Marty was fortunate to appear on the Footy Show. Since 2008, Marty has shared his expertise of change and resilience and has since been invited to deliver the TEDx talk Take Funny Seriously.
