Jan Ravens

Known for her amazingly accurate and hilarious impressions, Jan Ravens is bringing her unique talent to corporate events and awards evenings to provide the most unforgettable entertainment. Whilst completing her studies in drama at Homerton College, Jan became the first female president of the Cambridge University Footlights Club and also directed The Cellar Tapes revue that won the first Perrier Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Festival.

She began her career as a radio comedy producer in the early 1980s and made her TV debut when she appeared on ITV’s Just Amazing before later joining Jasper Carrott’s Carrott’s Lib in 1983. Making her way up to become a regular voice on BBC Radio 4’s shows Just A Minute and I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, she came into the limelight when her impression of Theresa May went viral on YouTube with over a million views. Since then she has been known to do impressions of celebrities including Newsnight’s Kirsty Wark and Charlotte Green, Ellen MacArthur, Nigella Lawson, Ann Widdecombe and Fiona Bruce.

Some of her most notable TV appearances include competing alongside Anton du Beke on the 2006 series of Strictly Come Dancing, featuring in Ronni Ancona’s comedy sketch show, Ronni Ancona & Co, appearing on Skins and becoming the first woman to win Celebrity Mastermind to raise money for ActionAid in 2008. Most recently she has featured on QI as a panellist in 2017 and has also appeared as Susan in the sitcom Hebburn.
