Jade Garratt is Co-Founder and Director of Psych Safety with Tom Geraghty, where she helps organisations build healthier, happier and higher-performing workplaces by embedding psychological safety into everyday practice. A writer, facilitator, and learning designer, Jade brings nearly two decades of experience spanning schools, charities, universities, and businesses. Her work is grounded in the belief that trust, openness and respect enable people to do their best work.
Jade began her career as an English Teacher and went on to support organisations in strengthening their learning and people development with roles at Teach First as Development Lead, Teach For Portugal as a Development Consultant and Police Now as a Leadership Development Curriculum Manager. At the University of Nottingham, she held a senior educational leadership role, and in 2024, she was recognised as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
She holds a Physics degree from Oxford University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and she is currently completing a PhD at the University of Nottingham. Her doctoral research, viewed through a social justice lens, explores how students’ educational backgrounds shape their university experiences. Alongside her academic work, Jade is most energised by practical impact: helping leaders and teams translate research and theory into real changes in how they collaborate, learn and perform.
Outside of work, she enjoys writing, running, and is also a qualified yoga teacher. She spends as much time outdoors with her family as the UK weather allows, finding nature both inspiring and grounding. With her passion for creating happier, high-performing workplaces that value trust, Jade is an influential keynote speaker. Throughout her flourishing career, she has become a respected voice in psychological safety and inclusion, helping audiences create a space for others to learn and perform at their best.

Official Feedback from In-Person & Virtual Events
"Jade Garratt was a guest on my podcast, Beyond Self-Care. Jade was easy to talk to and was one of my favourite guests because she is so knowledgeable about the topic we were discussing and because of her ease of delivery. She is a great story teller who knows how to use a story to keep the audience engaged and interested. I think the thing I admired most and will try to emulate in my own work going forward was her calm confidence in the message and the way she connects with the audience. My experience with Jade makes me want her to join me again!" - Dr Gail Markin, Author, Podcast Host and Speaker
