David Magliano is a leading businessman who has forged a successful career in strategy, marketing, branding and management. Currently the Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer for Informa Tech, David is best known for his role as the Director of Marketing for the London 2012 Olympic Games. After securing a degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, David began his career as an Account Director at Hall Advertising. His first marketing job came in 1998, working as the Sales and Marketing Director of Go. Working at Go for four years, David became the Sales and Marketing Director for easyJet in 2002. Presenting his marketing bid to the International Olympic Committee, David is partly responsible for the success of the 2012 Games.
Since working on the London 2012 Olympic committee, David has also worked with several other prestigious brands. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Dyson and Director of Commercial & Marketing for England 2018, the company responsible for trying to secure the bid for the 2018 World Cup. He has also shared his expertise in business as the Brand Director of The Co-Operative, the Managing Director of Membership, Marketing & Consumer Revenue for Guardian News & Media and the General Manager of Warner Bros Entertainment Group. Other roles also include being a Consultant for Be the Business, a Non-Executive Director of MyOptique Group and an Advisory Board Member for The Foundation Growth Consulting LLP.
