As an amateur, Carly played at the Ladies Scottish Open and finished 13th. In 2007, Carly was ranked the No.1 junior in Europe after winning the European Junior Masters and also became the Scottish Under-18 and Under-21 champion. In 2019, she won the TIPSPORT Czech Ladies Open, winning 4 European Tour titles in her golf career. Due to injury, Carly was away from golf for three years before returning in 2025.
